iMessage Not Delivered

Not Delivered means the message never reached Apple’s servers or the recipient is unreachable as iMessage.

Quick fixes

Tap the alert and try Send as SMS if enabled under Settings → Messages.
Confirm iMessage is on and shows “Waiting for activation” resolved.
Check you did not block the contact; verify their phone/email under their contact card.
Toggle iMessage off and on once (can take a few minutes).
