IPSW files are iOS builds for restore. Apple only signs certain versions for a limited time—policy changes over the years.
Without a signature from Apple’s servers, a device typically cannot restore to arbitrary older versions unless you are in a special scenario (e.g., some beta or enterprise cases).
Use firmware flashing as documented for your tool version. Always download firmware from trusted sources.
