CarPlay Keeps Disconnecting

Intermittent CarPlay is often cable quality, USB data pins, or head unit firmware—not “a bad iPhone.”
USB CarPlay
- Use Apple-certified Lightning/USB-C cable; try another port on the car.
- Avoid charge-only ports; avoid unpowered hubs.
- Forget the car under Settings → General → CarPlay → vehicle name.
Wireless CarPlay
Disable VPN during sessions; reboot infotainment when it desyncs. See Bluetooth guide for re-pairing.
